Während der Präsentation des Samsaung Galaxy S3 ist damals auch das Wort Music Hub gefallen, hier handelt es sich um einen eigenen Musik-Dienst aus dem Hause Samsung. Pünktlich zum Verkaufsstart des aktuellen Android-Flaggschiffs der Koreaner bietet man für die ersten Besitzer bereits den Dienst an. Zur Verfügung stehen 19 Millionen Songs, Samsung greift dabei auf das Archiv von 7 Digital zurück und bietet passend dazu auch 100 GB eigenen Speicher in der Cloud an.

Richtig interessant wird Music Hub aber erst in der Premium-Version für knapp 10 Euro im Monat, denn dieser bietet unlimitiertes Streaming der Musik-Bibliothek und des Online-Speichers. Doch der Dienst wird nicht exklusiv für das Galaxy S3 bleiben, denn Samsung möchte das Portfolio an Geräten in Zukunft noch erweitern. Samsung hat auf diesem Markt natürlich ein paar harte Konkurrenten wie Simfy und Spotify, der Vorteil ist aber definitiv die vorinstallierte Anwendung auf den eigenen Geräten. Samsung Music Hub wird zum Start in Frankreich, Großbritannien und auch bei uns in Deutschland erhältlich sein.
