Xposed Modul bringt AOD auf OnePlus-Smartphones

Zur Vorstellung des OnePlus 6 gab es noch schöne Screenshots eines AlwaysOn-Displays. Leider wurde selbiges zum Release dann nicht in die Firmware gepackt.

Der Modder Quinny899 im XDA-Forum hat sich nun dem Problem angenommen und ein Xposed-Modul (ja, ihr benötigt ein gerootetes Gerät!) mit dem Namen OPAodMod umgeschrieben und erweitert.

Das eben genannte Xposed-Modul für ein Always On Dispaly gibt es schon seit geraumer Zeit – es wurde aber schon sehr lange nicht mehr weiter entwickelt. Quinny899 hat die Oberfläche nun ins Englische übersetzt und eine GUI für die Einstellungen gebastelt.

Jetzt ist das Modul also für alle gerooteten OnePlus-Geräte verfügbar, die OxygenOS oder HydrogenOS nutzen.

Die Feature-Liste liest sich gut und lautet wie folgt:

• Always-on display, which runs all the time – unlike the OnePlus version
• Customizable layout, with options including three digital clock styles, two-word clocks and a DVD screensaver (it’s exactly what you think it is)
• Notification display, showing the text of a notification when you receive it and dropping back to just an icon after a few seconds
• Option to only display when you ‘raise’ your phone
• Option to hide the screen when flipped/in your pocket, disable it overnight, or after a time period (10 minutes or 15 seconds)
• Show your next alarm, current weather, and currently playing music
• Display a short message (like that on your lockscreen)
• Full settings GUI for the module with a live preview of your clock
