Apple: Vorinstallierte Apps bei iOS können vielleicht bald gelöscht werden

Das iPhone besitzt eine ganze Menge an vorinstallierten Apps. Viele will man entfernen, weil man sie nicht braucht, kann es aber nicht. Das ist ein Problem, welches Apple CEO Tim Cook durchaus bekannt ist.

Er hat daher in einem kurzen Gespräch mit Buzzfeed bekannt gegeben, dass man sich das Problem anschauen wird. Es ist allerdings nicht ganz so einfach, wie das vielleicht erscheinen mag. Manche Apps sind sehr tief in das System integriert und wenn man sie entfernt, funktioniert etwas an anderer Stelle nicht mehr. Einfach nur eine Option einzubauen ist also nicht möglich.

“There are some apps that are linked to something else on the iPhone. If they were to be removed they might cause issues elsewhere on the phone. There are other apps that aren’t like that. So over time, I think with the ones that aren’t like that, we’ll figure out a way [for you to remove them]. … It’s not that we want to suck up your real estate, we’re not motivated to do that. We want you to be happy. So I recognize that some people want to do this, and it’s something we’re looking at.”

Apps wie Tipps, Sprachmemos, Aktien und Podcasts landen bei vielen in einem Ordner und werden nie genutzt. Eine solche Option würden daher glaube ich sehr viele begrüßen. Und wenn man bei Apple schon mal dabei ist, sich das Problem anzuschauen, dann könnte man einige Apps auch gleich vom System lösen und zum Beispiel Updates in Zukunft auch über den App Store anbieten.
