Nexus-Geräte erhalten über die nächsten Wochen Android 2.3.4
Nachdem der Videochat für Android mit Google Talk nun offiziell ist, gibt es auch eine kleinere Information zur nächsten Android-Version. Über die nächsten Wochen (also ab sofort) soll der Rollout von Android 2.3.4 für das Google Nexus One und das Nexus S laufen, wobei das Nexus One einige Fehlerbehebungen verpasst bekommt und man dem Nexus S erwähnten Videochat spendiert. Zudem wird von einer weiteren Überraschung gesprochen, welche wohl auf beide Geräte Einzug erhält. Was könnte das wohl sein?
Die Update-Datei für das Nexus S schwirrt bereits auf den Google-Servern herum und kann hier geladen und anschließend manuell geflasht werden. Diese sollte allerdings nur für das brandingfreie US-Modell (Yes! das habe ich :P) gedacht sein.
Ich habe die Update-Datei gerade problemlos aufgespielt. Ein paar veränderte Übersetzungen sind mir bereits aufgefallen, weiteres ergänze ich, falls es nennenswert ist.

Bug fixes for Nexus S & Nexus One
- Phone shuts down or reboots: a very small percentage of users reported this problem, which is fixed with the latest release. (Nexus S)
- Wi-fi & 3G icons both indicate active: for anyone who saw this strange behavior in your phone’s status bar, it should now be fixed. (Nexus S)
- Battery life: some users let us know that their batteries didn’t seem to be lasting as long; battery life should be improved for these folks. (Nexus One)
- GPS location/navigation: some Nexus One users who noticed location and navigation problems after updating to 2.3.3 should notice improved location accuracy. (Nexus One)
