HTC Bootloader-Unlock kommt ab August

Nachdem HTC Einsicht in Sachen Bootloader der neuen Android-Smartphones gezeigt hat, wurde auch angekündigt, bereits ausgelieferte Geräte nachträglich zu entsperren. Dies kommt vor allem der Modding-Community zu Gute, denn umfangreiche Anpassungen und alternative ROMs lassen sich nur auf entsperrten Geräten einspielen.

Zu diesem Zweck wird gerade an einer Software gewerkelt, mit welcher man sein HTC-Geräten unlocken kann. Diese soll nach der neuesten Info wohl ab August zur Verfügung stehen, leider gibt es aber keine Angabe, für welche Geräte und vor allem wann genau er kommen wird. Zwar wird das HTC Sensation als „global“ Version benannt, aber zum Beispiel das Evo 3D für Europa wird noch nicht erwähnt. Genau heißt es:

We’re thrilled to announce today that software updates to support bootloader unlocking will begin rolling out in August for the global HTC Sensation, followed by the HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile USA and the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint. We’re in the testing phase for the unlocking capability now, and we expect it to be fully operational by early September for devices that have received the software updates. We’ll continue rolling out the unlocking capability over time to other devices as part of maintenance releases and new shipments.
