Demnach wird das Gerät am Januar 2010 direkt von Google über deren Webseite vertrieben und T-Mobile bietet die passenden Tarife an. Wann das Android-2.1-Gerät bei uns zu haben sein wird ist noch unklar, evtl. gibt es auch einen weltweiten Start des iPhone-Konkurrenten.
Google hat am 05. Januar 2010 zu einer Pressekonferenz zum Thema Android eingeladen, bei dem wohl das Nexus One offiziell vorgestellt wird. Das Layout der E-Mail erinnert stark an die Nexus One-Bootanimation.
