This update, version 8.8.3.33, will improve the focus of the camera, the fluidity of the touch experience, and the APK capabilities in Android Market.

In addition, we would like to address your concerns related to GPS and bootloader on the Transformer Prime.
The ASUS Transformer Prime is made from a metallic unibody design, so the material may affect the performance of the GPS when receiving signals from satellites. Please note that this product is not a professional GPS device, and signal performance can be easily influenced by factors including, but not limited to: weather, buildings, and surrounding environments. Please understand there are limitations when using the GPS function. To avoid inconveniencing users who demand a powerful GPS device, we made the decision to remove it from our specification sheet and marketing communications. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Regarding the bootloader, the reason we chose to lock it is due to content providers’ requirement for DRM client devices to be as secure as possible. ASUS supports Google DRM in order to provide users with a high quality video rental experience. Also, based on our experience, users who choose to root their devices risk breaking the system completely. However, we know there is demand in the modding community to have an unlocked bootloader. Therefore, ASUS is developing an unlock tool for that community. Please do note that if you choose to unlock your device, the ASUS warranty will be void, and Google video rental will also be unavailable because the device will be no longer protected by security mechanism.

Das geht jetzt aber schnell. Wäre noch besser, wenn das Prime auch mal verfügbar wäre….
Sehr ordentlich, so macht Asus sich vielleicht doch noch ein paar Freunde (wenn sie noch ordentlich Primes ausliefern…).
Der 12.1. als ICS-Rollout bezieht sich nur aufs Prime, aber ich hoffe dann auch, in den nächsten, sagen wir 14 Tagen etwas auf dem TF101 zu sehen.
Na klasse. Ich hab schon so ein gefühl das es fürs tf101 garnet kommt. Wenn des neue tablet da ist dann kauft doch keiner mehr das alte…..
Asus hat bei den Transformern bisher eine Top Updatepolitik an den Tag gelegt, und ics haben sie ja auch schon angekündigt. Wir müssen vielleicht bis Februar warten bis das TF101 ics bekommt aber schaut euch mal die anderen Hersteller an da kann man unter Umständen laaaaange warten.
Außerdem steht auf der offiziellen Produktseite vom TF101 das ein Update auf ICS kommen wird
Wobei: Sehe gerade das Sie wohl in einem Zug mit der GPS Entfernung beim Prime auch den Part mit dem ICS Update für das TF101 rausgeschmissen haben. Wollen wir mal das beste hoffen.

Also mal ehrlich, jedes Tablet hat GPS, Asus Prime auch… dann streicht Asus das einfach von der Liste, weil sie es nicht getestet haben? Was macht bei denen die Qualitätssicherung?
12.1. ist auch der aktuelle Cyberport-Liefertermin fürs Prime. sehr praktisch wenns klappt
Ich bin wirklich kein Freund von Apple…aber…wieso können die Android Hersteller nicht ein funktionierendes Tablet in ausreichender Menge an den Start zu bringen?! Die Dinger sind ja auch noch teurer als bei Apple… Ein Vorteil von Android im Smartphone Bereich ist sicherlich die hohe Qualität bei günstigem Preis.
Habe gerade das aktuelle OTA-Update für honeycomb runterladen und installiert, der Browser und der Touchscreen im allgemeinen arbeiten SPÜRBAR schneller!

also wenn ich unterwegs bin und mal lust hab google maps zu nutzen. dann wird das wegen der aluminium seite nicht wirklich gut funktionieren? oder die sau geile stenen app "star chart". das auf nem tablet wär echt toll, aber mit dem prime ja wohl nicht möglich?!
oh mann, das finde ich wirklich echt schade. wollte mir das prime holen, aber das nervt mich schon gewaltig. fast jedes billig smartphone hat gps.
das ist wie bei apple und dem antennen problem damals, man hätte es so leicht testen können… :/
