Nach dem Update auf Android 2.2.1 für die Archos-Tablets, gab es wohl einige Beschwerden von Nutzern, da die neue Firmware nicht so stabil und problemlos lief, wie gedacht. Das hat Archos natürlich mitbekommen und liefert jetzt eine verbesserte Firmware mit der Version 2.0.71 für seine Android-Tablets aus.
Wer nicht mehr auf das OTA-Update warten kann oder will, muss sich einfach diese Datei direkt bei Archos herunterladen, dann auf ein Speichermedium packen und mit dem Dateimanager auf dem Gerät anwählen. Das Update sollte dann automatisch starten. Vorher das Gerät bitte an das Ladegerät anschließen.
Dateien und Einstellungen sollten soweit erhalten bleiben und auch die Google-Apps funktionieren weiterhin. Wer die noch nicht hat, kann sich einfach hier die APK-Datei laden und installieren. Das Update sollte für das Archos 28, 32, 43, 70 und 101 gültig sein.
