Action Launcher für Android bekommt großes Update auf 1.2.0
Der alternative Android-Launcher Action Launcher vom Entwickler Chris Lacy, der auch für den Twitter-Client Tweet Lanes verantwortlich war, hat gestern ein großes Update auf die nun aktuelle Version 1.2.0 bekommen. Der Grund für den großen Versionssprung zwischen 1.0.5 und 1.2.0 begründet er in den vielen neuen Funktionen und Änderungen, die die Applikation nun spendiert bekommen hat, womit er auch nicht untertrieben hat.
Nennenswerte neue Funktionen umfassen beispielsweise das Quicksearch-Feature, bei der man direkt im Homescreen nach Begriffen suchen kann, die verbesserte Cover-Funktion, die nun auch mittels Wischgeste angesprochen werden kann, Apps lassen sich nun aus dem App Drawer ausblenden und die Animationen wurden drastisch verbessert. Das komplette Changelog, sowie ein Video, dass die neuen Funktionen vorstellt, könnt ihr unten einsehen. Ich werde mir Action Launcher jetzt mal zulegen und schauen, ob mir dieser Launcher besser gefällt, als SF Launcher.

- CHANGE: Remove the “Apps” text from the action bar.
- CHANGE: Automatically close the app drawer when resuming the app.
- CHANGE: All buttons on the action bar are the same color.
- CHANGE: Never display the Customize button. Instead this button always resides in the overflow menu.
- CHANGE: Items in the sliding app drawer are the exact same height as the action bar.
- CHANGE: Revert to using standard AOSP behavior for homescreens. The default page is in the ‘middle’, rather than the far left.
- CHANGE: If there is a single homescreen, or the default homescreen is displaying, pressing Home opens the app drawer. Otherwise, jump to the default homescreen.
