Huawei MediaPad: 7“-Tablet mit Android 3.2

Mit der Vorstellung des Huawei MediaPad, einem Honeycomb-Tablet mit 7“ Touchscreen, kam heute eine interessante Information ans Tageslicht: Angeblich arbeitet Google bereits an Android 3.2, welches dann einen besseren Support für Tablets mit einem kleineren Bildschrim mit sich bringen soll. Das Tablet wurde auf der CommunicAsia in Singapur vorgestellt, auf der morgen auch Nokia ein wichtiges Event hat.

Huawei teilte Engadget mit, dass Android 3.2 im Prinzip den gleichen Funktionsumfang wie Android 3.1 besitzt, nur eben besser für kleinere Bildschirme angepasst. Das MediaPad besitzt einen 1,2 GHz starken Dual-Core Prozessor von Qualcomm, ein 7“ großes IPS-Display mit 217 PPI, eine 5 Megapixel-Kamera für Schnappschüsse auf der Rückseite und eine 1,3 Megapixel-Kamera für Videotelefonie auf der Frontseite.

Das Tablet ist 10,5 mm dick, 390g schwer und hat 8 GB internen Speicher inklusive einem SD-Slot für Speicherkarten. Dazu kommt HSPA+, Wlan 802.11n, Bluetooth, HDMI und ein Akku, der 6 Stunden Surfvergüngen garantieren soll. Huawei hat im Moment kein Interesse an einer Version ohne 3G, in den USA soll es ab dem 3. Quartal 2011 erhätlich sein, warten wir doch erst mal die offizielle Präsentation von Android 3.2 ab.

MediaPad set to transform consumers‘ entertainment experience
